Speaker Series

April 2nd, 2015

All workshops will be held in the Studio at the Georgetown Cultural Centre, 9 Church Street.

Time is 7:30 – 8:30 pm.

Wednesday March 11 – Yoga – This is a full participation workshop. Bring your own Yoga Mat –presented by Amy Wilford

Wednesday March 25 – Injury Prevention – Identifying and Correcting Muscle Imbalances using Strength Training – presented by Dan Walinga

Thursday April 2 To be Re-scheduled – Demystifying Shoes – What Shoe is Right for Me. Gerry will also discuss how you can transition from one type of shoe to another safely – presented by Gerry Ross – Stay tuned for new date.

Wednesday April 15 – Facilitated Stretching – Runners need to stretch but sometimes they aren’t as effective as they could be. Leslie will explain and demonstrate facilitated stretching using participant volunteers – presented by Leslie Spicer

Cost is $10 for non-members but is included in the Georgetown Runners Club membership.

If you’re interested in the speaker series it might be wise to join the club.
We’ll have applications available on Wednesday. Club membership remains $40.
Anyone who joins after March 1, 2015 will get a nice surprise – your membership won’t expire until June 30, 2016.
